Mashono is a Swahili word. Its literal translation means seams, tailoring. When I first discovered the word, it resonated with me.  It represents what fashion means to me, great style and clothes that fit. Whatever your size. 

My connection to fashion goes back to 2010 as a fit model. Working with prominent brands like Levi’s, Stitch Fix, Old Navy, and many others, I realized the importance of how clothes feel when you wear them. Working directly with these brands gave me the opportunity to make a difference in how we wear our clothes, it felt good to be a part of the process.

Style affects us every day, all the time. It defines us as individuals and shows our self-expression.  Mashono expresses what going on in the fashion world and beyond and shows the importance of a multicultural style to be seen and heard around the world.
